Hong Ya Pavilion

Hong Ya Pavilion was originally named “Hall of Heavenly Kings” and founded in Dao-guang period of Qing dynasty, and it is protected to the Jingsiyuan Garden from the Dan Fung Street, Renmin Road of Shanghai Old City Area. The “Hong Ya Pavilion” is tightly bound to “phoenix”, at the beginning, the ancient building is protected in the Dan Fung Street of City God Temple of Shanghai, namely, “red phoenix in morning sun”. In order to “imply” the hometown of “such building, three phoenixes were respectively sculptured on the ridge and opening especially, and the “Hong Ya Pavilion” became the story of guiding phoenix for nesting accordingly. Three pieces of Lingbi stones just like three phoenixes are collected in the hall, and they are found from the marble pit of Phoenix Hill in Lingbi county.
